Delicious spaghetti recipe
Ingredients:
8 ounces (225 grams) spaghetti
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 pound (450 grams) ground beef or Italian sausage
1 can (14 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for some heat)
Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
Add the ground beef or Italian sausage to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease if necessary.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let the sauce simmer for about 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Once the sauce is ready, add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss well to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
Serve the spaghetti in individual bowls or plates, topped with grated Parmesan cheese. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for extra freshness and flavor.
